- A community support network will be activated. This includes local Alzheimer’s Association chapters and law enforcement working together to find the person and reunite them with their caregiver or family.
How Does the ID Jewelry Work?
- People enrolled in MedicAlert + Safe Return wear special ID jewelry with a toll-free number on it.
- If someone finds the person with dementia, they can call the number on the ID to report it.
- MedicAlert will contact the family or caregiver and ensure the person is safely returned home.
- Emergency responders can also use this ID to access important medical information when needed.
